Murphy brings more than 20 years of experience in lighting sales to Sol, along with long-standing nationwide relationships with large national accounts, channel partners, direct sellers of outdoor lighting products and commercial/industrial lighting agencies. This addition to Sol's leadership team puts the company in position to continue its accelerated growth path in retail, municipal and commercial lighting in the United States and abroad.

As Vice President of Sales, Murphy will oversee all sales, customer service and marketing functions for Sol. Prior to joining Sol, Murphy held the same position at Lumenergi, Inc., based in Newark, California. Prior to that he was Vice President of Sales for the Commercial Division of Nexxus Lighting, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Murphy has also worked in sales, marketing and customer service for Acuity Brands Lighting, Holophane Lighting Division and in contractor and energy sales for Cooper Industries, Inc., Cooper Lighting Division. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated success in developing and executing national account and government businesses, strong executive management and strategic planning experience and a robust record of success in growth by driving customer-facing initiatives.
