GRANVILLE, Ohio (12/9/09) – New Holophane HXP fluorescent luminaires provide an energy-saving lighting solution for hazardous applications. The fixtures are designed for safe operation and to meet the specific challenges of a Division 1 and Zone 1 environments.

HXP luminaires require minimal maintenance, combining factory-sealed cast aluminum housing and a one-piece painted aluminum reflector with a 93 percent reflective white finish. Multiple hub entries ensure installation flexibility, with the ballast case positioned on top of the fixture for further installation ease.

New HXP fixtures may be used with T5, T8 and T5HO florescent lamps in 2-foot, 2-lamp; 4-foot, 2-lamp; 4-foot, 3-lamp; or 4-foot, 4-lamp combinations. Options include emergency battery back up and premium specular aluminum reflector.

"Holophane’s HXP luminaires provide the reliability and peace of mind that result from installing a durable, high-quality lighting system designed to perform in the most demanding environments," said Tamar Williamson, Holophane product manager.

Recommended applications include Class I, Division 1, Groups C and D; Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C and D; Class II, Division 1 and 2, Groups E, F, G; and Class I, Zone 1. HXP luminaires are UL 1598 Marine Listed, NEMA 3 and 4X, and 7CD, and are suitable for use inside paint spray booths.
